AC/DC Confirms: Malcolm Young Has Dementia

AC/DC has confirmed that rhythm guitarist and founding member Malcolm Young is suffering from dementia.  The band confirmed that unfortunate news to People magazine. Meanwhile, the Sydney Morning Herald says that 61-year-old Malcolm is living in a local care facility.

Young formed the band in 1973 along with younger brother Angus, the band's lead guitarist, after the family moved to Sydney, Australia from Scotland.

Meanwhile, the band is set to release its new album, Rock or Bust, on December 2nd.  We'll have an advance track next week which you can hear on The Loop starting Tuesday.

Stevie Young, Malcolm and Angus Young's nephew, has taken over the role of rhythm guitarist in Malcolm's absence.
