We here at the Loop feel that we have a very extensive vocabulary when it comes to rock and roll. Please allow us to give you a very thorough synopsis on how to talk the Loop talk by identifying our comprehensible terminology:
- Looper – someone who has pledged their undying love to the Loop and has maybe been listening since our inception in 1977
- Two-fer Tuesday – Two songs by the same artist, back to back, every Tuesday
- Hump day Triple Play – not to be outdone by Two-fer Tuesday, this is three songs by one artist every hour on Wednesday
- 97@9:30 – 97 minutes of non-stop Loop rock every weekday at 9:30am
- 97@Noon – when the clock strikes 12pm, you get yet another 97 minutes of non-stop rock
- 97@4:20 – what’s this? ANOTHER 97 minutes of non-stop rock? LIKE WE WOULD STOP!
- Nice Pair Weekend – it’s Two-fer Tuesday, weekend style!
- Pyke’s Picks – Every weeknight at 9pm Pyke takes you through 3 songs with a common theme. Tomorrow’s pick is rock N’ roll feuds (no lack of material there)
- Loop Rock History – Every weekday, Tim Virgin delivers you a daily dose of rock wisdom from years past. Tomorrow’s history lesson is on Geezer Butler’s wild night in California just last year
- Loop Lost Classics – songs that make you say, “Hey, I remember this song! Turn it up!”
- Loop Led 4-Play – 4 songs in a row from the mighty Led Zeppelin
- Loopfest – our annual concert bash. Last year Def Leppard tore the roof off the joint in front of 20,000+ people. April Rose and Mancow arrive by helicopter. Plenty more fun coming in 2016
- Appetite for the 80’s Weekend – We pump out all your 80’s music favorites all weekend long!
