The Loop

Memorial Day Weekend: Traffic, Maybe Some Storms and FREE TICKETS!

Whether you’re staying in town or headed elsewhere, the roads and airports will be busy this weekend.  It’s predicted that in Illinois alone, some 2 million people are expected to travel.

And there’s lots going on.  Street festivals, runs, Navy Pier fireworks, Cubs-Sox on Monday, and The Loop’s “Get A Pair” Weekend.  Always the perfect holiday weekend soundtrack, we’re setting up Loyal Loopers with tickets to the biggest concerts of summer.  Listen, text and win your way to see Guns N’ Roses, Def Leppard, The Loop Luau with Sammy Hagar and Black Sabbath.

The Memorial Day Parade in Downtown Chicago is Saturday at 12noon and begins at State and Lake after an 11am wreath ceremony.

While the holiday itself looks nice, we could be dodging rain over the weekend.  Here is the official forecast from the National Weather Service.
