The evening news will only be halfway through in the Boston area when Guns N’ Roses will be forced to wrap up their two concerts at Gillette Stadium in suburban Foxboro next month. Stadium officials had requested an ending time of 11:40 but the town’s selectmen would not budge on an 11:15 curfew, even though they did for a couple of Taylor Swift concerts last year. One of the selectmen, Ginny Coppola said the difference is that the Guns N’ Roses concerts are on a weeknight as opposed to the weekend Swift shows. And said “This isn’t going to be an acoustic evening. It’s going to be loud.” So better get to the show early and not expect a big encore!
Our opinion-don’t build a stadium in your town if you can’t deal with what comes with it. You can read about the debate from the suburban Boston newspaper THE SUN CHRONICLE
