James Hetfield of Metallica appears on the first single from Heart’s new album.
He sang on and wrote additional lyrics for the album’s title track, Beautiful Broken. The song was a bonus track on Fanatic, Heart’s last studio album, which was released in 2012, but was redone for this collection. Beautiful Broken will be released July 8th.
Metallica fans will be able to hear James Hetfield sing his own band’s material soon — the group’s website reports that they’re mixing the long-in-the-works follow-up to 2008’s Death Magnetic.
