PEARL JAM, SOUNDGARDEN- Temple to Tour

Temple of the Dog — the one-album supergroup featuring members of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden — have lined up their first tour to support the re-issue of their 1991 album.

Chris Cornell of Soundgarden, Jeff Ament, Stone Gossard and Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, and Matt Cameron (who drums with both acts) will play in Philadelphia November 4th, New York November 7th, San Francisco November 7th, Los Angeles November 14th and Seattle November 20th. Tickets go on sale July 29th. (There’s no mention of Eddie Vedder taking part in these shows to do his part on “Hunger Strike.”)

The re-issue of the album is set for September 30th. There’s a single remastered CD and digital version; a double-vinyl version; a two-disc and digital deluxe edition with seven demos, five studio outtakes and three remixes; and the Super Deluxe Edition, which adds the album in Blu-ray audio and a DVD with a show from 1990, their two videos and footage of their Pearl Jam 20 festival performances.

The re-issue has been expected by fans once Chris Cornell announced in May that the legal battle over the album’s master tapes was over and they were back in his possession.
