THE WHO: Pulling the Plug on Tommy

he Who will pull the plug on Tommy as they perform the first rock opera, acoustic, on March 30th and April 1st at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The shows will benefit Roger Daltrey’s pet charity, the Teenage Cancer Trust. The Who has not performed Tommy since 1989.

The Who have moved UK shows originally scheduled for this summer to next April to coincide with the Albert Hall dates. Those concerts will focus on the period between their performances at Woodstock and Leeds, England, along with a scaled-down version of Tommy.

The Who will be back on the road in September with dates in Germany, Austria and Italy before visiting Santa Barbara, California and the two-weekend Desert Trip festival in Indio, California in October.
