Pete Townshend’s Deep End, the band Townshend put together with David Gilmour in 1985 to promote his solo album White City, is the subject of a new CD and DVD release.
Face the Face was shot for the German TV show Rockpalast in Cannes [pr: can], France on January 29th, 1986. The set mixes tracks from the White City album, Townshend solo hits such as “Rough Boys” and “Slit Skirts,” the Who classics “Won’t Get Fooled Again” and “Behind Blue Eyes,” and Gilmour taking lead vocals on his own “Blue Light.” Face the Face is due out September 16th.
