Bon Jovi’s fourteenth studio album is coming next month, and it will be the first to not have creative input from former guitarist Ritchie Sambora, who left the band in 2013. While there was a debate over whether his departure was a firing or he just quit, Jon Bon Jovi intimated a few months back that Sambora basically quit showing up. Sambora later said that he quit to spend more time with family, and he is working on music and will be touring with his girlfriend Orianthi, most famous for her work with Michael Jackson. You can see her in the posthumous Michael Jackson film “This Is It”.
David Bryan and Tico Torres return to the fold, and the band has said they took an “old school” approach on the new project, called “This House Is Not For Sale”. Of the sessions, Jon Bon Jovi said at a Kuala Lampur presser in January, “We were recording at different times and different rooms in the studio. That’s not happening anymore. We went back to the place [New York City’s Power Station] where we cut ‘Runaway’ in 1982 – where I used to sweep the floor and fetch coffee.”
