Sammy Hagar is ready to “forgive and forget” after what seems like decades of feuding with his former band mates of Van Halen. Sammy turned a new leaf in an episode of “Where Are They Now” on Oprah, set to premiere August 20th. The passing of some of Rock’s greats like David Bowie and Glenn Fry got the Red Rocker introspective, “It makes you say, ‘I don’t want to be buried with any regrets or bad vibes like that,’” he said. “It makes you want to be just friends with everybody and say, ‘Hey look, forget it.’”

Sammy has exchanged pleasantries with Eddie Van Halen on twitter since the beginning of the New Year and wants to be friends–not enemies, but isn’t hinting at any reunion, joking “that’s work! I don’t wanna do that!”

Sammy Hagar plays the Loop Luau Friday, September 2nd with Micheal Anthony, Jason Bonham, and Vic Johnson. Tickets all weekend long on 97.9 The Loop!
