AC/DC will finally begin to make up the U.S. dates they postponed in the spring after singer Brian Johnson was advised to stop touring or risk going deaf.
With Axl Rose now taking the microphone, the band will appear Saturday at the Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. The run of 10 dates end September 20th in Philadelphia.
This will be AC/DC’s 28th performance in North Carolina. Their first, in December 1977, was also at the Coliseum in Greensboro, with Cheap Trick opening. AC/DC also began the Ballbreaker World Tour at the Coliseum on January 12th, 1996. They last played there in 2009, on the Black Ice Tour.
From Greensboro the tour moves south to Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Tuesday.
If this proves to be the final leg of the Rock or Bust tour, it will also be the final shows for bassist Cliff Williams, who plans on retiring when it’s done.
