September 16th will see the release of a repackaged Led Zeppelin set, 1997’s “BBC Sessions”. The highlight? A third disc that will feature eight previously unreleased Led Zeppelin songs including the tune below, “Sunshine Woman” The track has an interesting back story.
Recorded in London on March 16th, 1969, it was broadcast on the BBC World Service on April 14th of that year. Led Zeppelin’s label had said the original BBC tapes were lost, but someone came up with a private recording in the late 1990’s.
Jimmy Page has remastered the entirety of this new collection which will also include two new versions of “Communication Breakdown”, “You Shook Me” and “Dazed and Confused”.
