The Loop Celebrates “Go Topless Day”

Falling on the Sunday closest to Women’s Equality Day, August 26th, this year’s event is set for today, August 28th.  Women gained the right to vote on August 26th, 1920, and Go Topless Day is an annual protest in the battle for women to have the right to go topless in public.

Chicago’s event is set for 1:00pm today, meeting at North Avenue Beach, north of the Boat House.

And if planning to participate, here is a cautionary tale from a woman arrested at the 2014 rally. Potentially NSFW.
