Things are certainly going well for Journey, with a successful summer tour as they headline with The Doobie Brothers and Dave Mason. But this begs the question: Would things be even better if Steve Perry were back in the band?
Guitarist Neal Schon tells the Detroit Free Press, “You know what people don’t understand is that we couldn’t even possibly be doing better right now even if [Perry] was with us. It has taken a lot of hard work to build it back up, but you know what? We’re here again. We’re sitting there. And management is the first one to tell me it couldn’t possibly be bigger.”
Schon has always been open to a reunion with Perry in which he would the current lineup, including singer Arnel Pineda.
