Vivian Campbell says the experimental treatment he’s been undergoing for his Hodgkin’s lymphoma is working.
The Def Leppard guitarist tells Talking Metal, “I’m doing this immunotherapy part of an FDA clinical trial, and like I say, it’s working for me now. I can do this at least until next summer, and then I’ll have to reassess; I might have to do radiation or something else. But I try not to think about it too much. It’s maintenance — like going to the dentist… A lot of people suggested to me when I first got a cancer diagnosis that I sit at home and look after myself, and I couldn’t imagine anything worse, to be honest.”
