It was September 25th, 1990, and 21 year old Dave Grohl joined Nirvana, replacing Chad Channing, and then fill in drummer Dale Crover. His first gig with Nirvana would come just days later on October 11th at the North Shore Surf Club in Olympia, Washington.
Obviously, Grohl was a quick study as you can see in these two videos from that evening’s show, and the line-up that would launch Nirvana and change music had come together.
