Metallica have found a novel way to tie the release of a new track from their upcoming Hardwired…To Self-Destruct album with both Halloween and independent record stores.
This Friday they’ll give out the access code for a free download of “Atlas, Rise!,” the third song they’ve unveiled off the album. It will come inside a Hardwired…To Self-Destruct Halloween mask that’ll also be given away at participating indie record shops. You can find a list of those stores at Metallica.com. The access code will allow you to hear the new song a half-hour before it’s officially released at at 1 pm Halloween.
The full Hardwired…To Self-Destruct comes out on November 18th.
