Get ready to pay more-a lot more-for your sodas, energy drinks and even diet drinks as Cook County adds the sugary drinks tax that’s been talked about so much lately. It’s the county board’s latest attempt to plug Cook County’s budget gap. A two-liter bottle of soda will soon cost 68 cents, a six-pack of soda will add 72 cents.
