Black Sabbath Could There Be More?

Tony Iommi is adjusting to the idea that Black Sabbath will no longer be active after next February’s final shows in Birmingham, England — but he’s not entirely comfortable with that prospect.

Speaking with singer and wrestler Chris Jericho on his Talk Is Jericho podcast, the guitarist responded to a question about the possibility that the band would ever reunite for a festival like London’s Download. He said he “wouldn’t write it off if one day that came about. That’s possible.” He says another album might even be possible, since he could stay in one place to do it.

Iommi, who’s doing well in his battle with cancer, makes it very clear that it’s touring that he can’t do at this point, but says he doesn’t “want to stop playing.” That leaves these other possibilities on the table, as long as his bandmates, Geezer Butler and Ozzy Osbourne, are available. Realistically, he says that he “doesn’t know if that would happen.” (Blabbermouth)
