Led Zeppelin “Led Zeppelin II”
(Released 10/22/69)
Zeppelin II was definitely more sexual than the band’s debut. This is, after all, the album where Robert Plant promised to give every inch of his love and encouraged squeezing till juice ran down his leg, That’s what happens when you work on an album while on the road, bouncing from hotel to hotel.
The first Zeppelin song to include songwriting credit for all four band members is one of the band’s signature moments and the lead track on the album: “Whole Lotta Love.”
Album sales (U.S.)-12 million
Chart position -1
