Courtney Love has been tapped to star in a new Lifetime movie about the Menendez brothers murder case.
Love will play Kitty Menendez, the mother of Lyle and Erik Menendez who are both serving life sentences for murdering their parents in 1989. The movie is said to focus on the abuse the brothers endured at their father Jose Menendez’s hands, while their mother apparently turned a blind eye.
Producers of the as-yet-untitled movie are still in the process of casting and filming is scheduled to begin this month. The is the second Lifetime job that Love has signed on for. She will have a recurring role in the thriller series A Midsummer’s Nightmare, which is based on William Shakespeare’s play A Midsummer Night’s Dream. (Rolling Stone)
