Everyone goes through an experimental phase… even Playboy, which experimented with a nude model-less approach for the past year. To no one’s surprise, the clothed version of Playboy was a fail.
Hugh Hefner’s son, Cooper, had been a critic of the nude ban. He became Playboy’s chief creative officer in October and tweeted yesterday, “Nudity was never the problem, because nudity isn’t a problem. Today, we’re taking our identity back and rediscovering who we are.” The March/April issue goes back to boobs and butts, though not full frontal.
Playboy without nudity? That’s like Highlights without Goofus and Gallant. Goofus goes straight to the nudes. Gallant reads it for the articles.
