Rumor has it that Axl Rose and Angus Young are working on a new AC/DC album. Noise11 in Australia published the news, saying an album could come after Axl clears the decks from the 2017 Guns N’ Roses tour.
In the meantime, don’t rule out a live album. All the Axl-led AC/DC concerts were filmed, so it’s not a stretch to think that content will be turned into something at some point.
The big question to come from this rumor is who, exactly, would be in the band moving forward? Bassist Cliff Williams retired. Drummer Phil Rudd is persona non grata, so it’s safe to assume Chris Slade would stick around. And Angus and Malcolm Young’s nephew Stevie could continue to fill Malcolm’s role on rhythm guitar.
For those about to rock, stay tuned…
