Slow news day in Chicago, but always bet on a good read in the crime-ridden, dirty streets of Port St. Lucie, Florida. A local drummer is charged with impersonating Nickelback drummer Daniel Adair for $25,000 dollars worth of microphones. Lee Howard Koenig, a 45-year old aspiring musician, needed some gear. So he did what any self-respecting guy would do, he lied. And how could a fake gmail account like danieladair1975@gmail.com send a red flag? Well, it did. After ordering 25,000 dollars of equipment from a business in Vienna, Austria, the real Daniel Adair was notified and not charged. Adair doesn’t even live in Florida….and that’s where Koenig’s IP adress traced police to the perpetrator. His mug shot is above, but his facebook profile says it all:
