Ticket sales for Metallica’s North American tour helped return their album to the Top 10.
Hardwired…to Self Destruct jumped from number-14 to number-two on the Billboard 200 with 81,000 units, which is almost a 200-percent jump. That’s because tickets to most of the dates, which went on sale February 17th, come with a free copy of the album. Those albums register as a sale in the week the customer redeems the download code or receives the physical album. So the band’s sales could continue to spike as more fans get their copies.
