Robert Plant did something this week that he’s never done before: He performed “Kashmir” as a solo artist.

Plant joined violinist Nigel Kennedy on stage earlier this week and delivered a killer version of “Kashmir” (though this recording isn’t exactly off-the-soundboard).

And in case you’re wondering what the connection between Kennedy and Plant is, they first worked together on Plant’s “Fate of Nations” album in 1993.
