Former Red Hot Chili Peppers and Pearl Jam drummer Jack Irons has been serving as the opening act on the current leg of the Chili Peppers’ The Getaway Tour. Friday in Seattle he joined forced with a friend from that other band.
For his set, Irons has been playing solo drums to pre-recorded music in front of a large video screen, but that night Eddie Vedder took the stage with him and the two performed a sped-up cover of Pink Floyd’s “Shine on You Crazy Diamond.” A fan’s video of it is posted on YouTube. (RollingStone)
