Remembering Robert Plant’s ‘Pictures at Eleven’

It was 35 years ago today when Robert Plant put out his first solo album, “Pictures at Eleven.” I remember buying it at Record City (RIP) when it came out and racing home to hear it. It wasn’t Led Zeppelin, but I pretended “Slow Dancer” was almost-Zep. Songs like “Pledge Pin,” “Burning Down One Side” and the fantastic B-side “Far Post” still make me happy.
