An article in the New York Post quotes a report that almost half of American adults will wear a costume to celebrate Halloween.
The editorial (published without a specific writer’s byline… which is weird) says adults dressing up for Halloween is a “troubling trend that needs to stop and it needs to stop now.” The general thought, according to the author(s), is that adults should leave Halloween for children… as if both can’t enjoy the spirit (so to speak) of the day.
That would mean no giant poop emojis or naughty nurses populating the local bars… and is that really what the New York Post wants? A world without Harley Quinns? A holiday without creepy Pennywise the Clowns? No faux David S. Pumpkins to ask “ANY QUESTIONS?” What about guys dressing like Hugh Hefner in sweet smoking jackets? I mean, really.
