Gibson’s is basically printing money as it cooks up bone-in sirloin steaks. It’s the top-earning restaurant in Chicago, according to Restaurant Business’ just-released list of “top independent restaurants.”

DNA Info pored through the list and created a list of the top 9 earners in Chicago. Gibson’s is at the top, making close to 27 million (with an average check of $75). The tourist-friendly “Viagra Triangle” has two more locations on the list, with Hugo’s Frog Bar and Tavern on Rush pulling in a combined 27.7 million. River North restaurants Joe’s Seafood, Primehouse, Chicago Cut Steakhouse, Shaw’s, Harry Caray’s and Quartino Ristorante round out the list.

The sad thing about this article is I was eating a $5 box from Taco Bell as I wrote it.
