If there was any doubt that vinyl is back, 2017 record sales grew 9% over the previous year, amounting to 14.32 million units sold. This is the highest volume vinyl has sold since the beginning of the industry’s so-called “Soundscan era.” Records made up 14% of overall physical sales, up 11% from 2016.
The top ten vinyl sales for the year show a lot of familiar favorites:

9. La La Land (soundtrack)
10. Michael Jackson “Thriller”
