Kiss should probably take the blame for taking the concept of “brand extension” into places bands should never have gone to in the first place (Kiss coffins, anyone?).
The most recent “brand extension” head-scratcher is Foghat’s “Slow Ride” condoms. As the band posted on Twitter, “We have heard stories of how so many of you were conceived to ‘Slow Ride.’ That’s great! But if you are not yet ready for parenthood, we are here to help.”
