Temperatures will be stuck in the booger-freezing range through early next week.
Normally at this time of year, we’d be looking at temps in the low 30s. The Chicago area’s stuck in a cold pattern that brings, as the National Weather Service describes, “excessive cold risk” for the foreseeable future.
The high for today is 10 degrees, with windchills reaching below zero. It won’t be much better tomorrow, and Friday’s low is a brutal -5.
If we can layer up for the next few days, relief comes next Wednesday, when we’ll reach a luxurious high of 24.
