It was really only a matter of time before Hollywood made a movie about Slenderman. The meme/urban legend was created in 2009, depicted as a long, slender, faceless man in a black suit and has been floating around ever since.

It’s been almost four years since two girls in Wisconsin stabbed a friend in a forest and left her for dead, claiming Slenderman made them do it. Documentaries about Slenderman have come out since, including HBO’s excellent “Beware the Slenderman.” Check out the trailer for Sony’s Slenderman movie, coming out May 18:
