What’s Wrong with Paul McCartney? Asian Concerts Cancelled

05/22/2014 2:38 PM – Paul McCartney this week cancelled his Japan concert tour due to feeling ill and now there are reports that he is hospitalized in Tokyo.

According to USA Today, they reached out to McCartney spokeswoman Perri Cohen for comment, but Cohen would not give a statement nor confirm whether McCartney is currently hospitilized.  

A number of reports have surfaced that Paul McCartney is currently in a Toyko hospital due to a viral infection, however, no confirmation has been made.

This news was first reported by the Sankei Sports newspaper and was picked up by USA Today.  

McCartney was reportedly admitted due to a viral infection that he has been fighting for about a week.

Sir Paul had to cancel his entire Japan/South Korea leg of his “Out There” tour due to this illness. So far, there has been no word yet as to when those dates will be rescheduled.

McCartney’s Japan/South Korea tour dates were set to conclude a couple of weeks before his summer U.S. tour, which as of now, is still on and coming to the United Center on July 9th.
