“Every day I wake up and I never take it for granted” says KISS bassist Gene Simmons to Newsweek. In the interview, he comments on the recent deaths of David Bowie and Prince, saying “Bowie was the most tragic of all because it was real sickness. All the other ones were a choice.” Even Prince? “His drugs killed him. What do you think, he died from a cold?”
Simmons also comments on the when he first met Prince, his “rap battle” over his comments about N.W.A. going into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the state of popular music, presidential politics, and their upcoming concert film, “Kiss Rocks Vegas” which will be shown in theaters on May 25th
