While the band is slim on details, it appears the illness that sidelined Anthony Kiedis and the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert in Los Angeles last night is a case of intestinal flu. Â Flea addressed the audience to let fans know they would not be playing. Â Now comes word that the band will be unable to perform at a promotional appearance on Tuesday.
This setback comes as the band ramps up promotional and touring activity surrounding the June 17th release of their new album “The Getaway”. Â You can hear the (excellent) lead single below. Â The band is slated as a headliner at the Lollapalooza Festival in downtown Chicago in August.
