Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist Gary Rossington is resting at home following last week’s heart surgery, which forced the band to postpone dates on their tour with Peter Frampton.
Rossington, the only surviving member of the original lineup, suffered a heart attack last fall.
All the dates through Saturday have been postponed, but Frampton will go ahead and perform Thursday in the Detroit suburb of Clarkston, Michigan.
“Gary Rossington is a dear friend and an incredible musician,” says Frampton. “I wish him health and a fast recovery. It’s been a joy performing with Lynyrd Skynyrd and we look forward to getting back on the road with them!”
