With the announcement that bassist Cliff Williams is retiring following the 10 upcoming U.S. “Rock Or Bust” dates, AC/DC guitarist is literally the last man standing in AC/DC. Axl Rose is filling in for Brian Johnson behind the mic, Chris Slade has returned behind the skins to replace Phil Rudd following his legal issues, and with Malcolm Young suffering from dementia, nephew Steve Young has had to step in on rhythm guitar.
Rumors are rampant that these American concerts could be the last for AC/DC, and in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Angus firmly places the future of the band in doubt. Saying that it was his mission to fullfill the band’s commitments on the “Rock Or Bust” tour, Young says that beyond the current schedule, “I don’t know”.
