At Wednesday’s Black Sabbath concert in Clarkston, MI, a 25 year old man appears to have been sucker punched in the parking lot of the DTE Energy Music Theater following a Michigan stop on the band’s final tour, billed as “The End”. The tour makes is last Chicagoland stop on Sunday at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater in Tinley Park.
As the crowd estimated at about 15,000 returned to their vehicles following the performance, the victim was making a repair to his engine when, as he reported to police who got the call at around 11:25pm, his assailant began swearing at him and then punched him in the mouth for “apparently no good reason”.
While the victim is being treated for a broken jaw at McLaren Hospital, police were given a good enough description of the suspect, who was arrested as he was attempting to leave the parking lot.
Meanwhile, the BB&T Center in Sunrise, FL, was the setting for Tuesday night’s AC/DC performance, where a 50 year old concert goer shoved an 81 year old usher into a row of seats. Fortunately, two detectives happened to be watching as the victim tried clearing an aisle when Leslie Cookshott shoved him full force into the seats. Cookshott tried fleeing the scene before the two detectives were able to tackle and apprehend him. Enjoy Cookshott’s mugshot from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office!
