There’s no question that the antics of Axl Rose all these years have raised eyebrows, but according to former Guns n’ Roses bassist Tommy Stinson, the singer is misunderstood.
He tells The Ledge podcast, “He’s an emotional guy. He’s gotten a bad rap for his emotions probably getting the better of him at times, but a lot of what his bad rap is about, I think, is a lot of fooey. I’ve known the guy for 20 years now, and we’ve had our issues back and forth, but he’s always had a heart of gold. And I don’t think anybody really knows that part of him. He’s your friend, you know, a lifer kind of thing. And that’s great.”
Guns n’ Roses, minus Stinson, started their South American tour Thursday night in Lima, Peru.
