Slash’s estranged wife, Perla Ferrar, said his latest legal maneuver in their divorce has been humiliating for her.
Lawyers for the Guns n’ Roses guitarist have argued that he shouldn’t have to pay her anything because she was never divorced from her first husband. She claimed that the divorce did go through, retroactively, after she filed the correct documents in 2009. Ferrar tells TMZ that she doesn’t know why Slash filed the claim, saying, “It’s very hurtful to me and disrespectful to our children. I gave him 18 years of my life, so it’s a bit unexpected and humiliating and disrespectful to our family.”
She added that the nasty turn in the case wasn’t too unexpected after she took the couple’s children to see Guns n’ Roses at Coachella back in April. “It really wasn’t what we expected it to be. It should have been a more celebratory thing for our family because their father was back with his band and playing at Coachella. But that’s when I realized when there was a lot of tension and bad blood from Slash’s camp towards me.”
