We knew Game 7 would be a night of mixed emotions. Excitement, anxiety, heartbreak, and joy. We didn’t know it would a 10th inning test to the strength of the 2016 Chicago Cubs. A team that stood at the top of the MLB standings since the bats started swinging in April. A team that never seemed to acknowledge the jars from the media, the hocus pocus curses of goats, the length of the season, Schwarber’s reconstructed knee (ewww). Today, we no longer have to utter “Maybe next year”. Today, the Chicago Cubs are World Series Champs.
