The Who are streaming one of the unreleased demos from the forthcoming deluxe reissue of their first album, 1965’s My Generation — released in the U.S. in April 1966 as The Who Sings My Generation.
The song is “The Girls I Could’ve Had,” which was never officially released in any form.
My Generation – Super Deluxe will be out on November 18th with vinyl and digital releases following on February 10th.
Roger Daltrey was honored today (Monday) in London for his contribution to music and his charitable work on behalf of the Teenage Cancer Trust. He received the 25th Music Industry Trusts Award. He says it’s “great to be honored by my friends and colleagues in the music industry.”
Previous recipients include Simon Cowell, Elton John, Jools Holland and Annie Lennox.
