A little over a month into the fan vote for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2017, Journey still holds the lead with more than 103,000 votes. And while the Top 5 remains the same with ELO second, The Cars third, Yes fourth and Pearl Jam fifth, the J. Geils Band has overtaken Depeche Mode for seventh place.
Fan voting is open until 11:59 p.m. ET on December 5th at RockHall.com. The Top 5 artists selected by the public will make up a “fans’ ballot” that will be tallied along with the other ballots to choose the inductees. You need to login with a Facebook account or email address to vote, and voting is capped at one ballot per day.
The Class of 2017 will be announced in mid-December with the ceremony set for April at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
