Mick Ralphs is still hospitalized in England as he recovers from a stroke suffered last October. But he’s posted a message on Facebook, saying, “Thanks to all my friends who have sent me love, best wishes, prayers, cards and even a scrapbook.” He also thanked his two sons, Ben and Jim, who are “dealing with some very difficult problems.”
Despite being paralyzed on his left side, he’s making slow progress — though it was not helped by an infection that is now under control. Another post on his Facebook page says, “He is still working hard with his physical therapy. Later this month, he moves to a care home for a more specialized treatment, but he continues to be chirpy most of the time, and has been very happy to see his musical friends.”
Among those who have visited him are Zak Starkey and former Whitesnake guitarist Bernie Marsden.
