Self-serve bars are a growing trend across the country. Earlier this year, Chicago joined the ranks when Tapster opened it’s doors in River North. The trend has now made it’s way to Logan Square with Navigator Taproom.
Logan Square’s newest self-serve features 48 different types of beer and cider on tap, all kept at a perfect 38 degrees. Each tap has a tablet that allows you to keep track of how much you pour with a tab swipe card. The tablet also gives you all the info on what you choose to pour. (pilsner, stout / sweet, bitter, etc). Self-serve is charged per ounce, which means you could essentially sample everything on tap before you choose to lock it down.
(Much better than being chained to that overpriced, warm pilsner that you ordered because of its cool name)
